Prayer
Prayer is central to the Christian faith. We believe that, because of all that Jesus did for us, we are able to speak directly to God, and He to us. There are no rules about how to pray or what it looks like, it’s simply a conversation between us and God, we can read about how Jesus prayed to His Father God in the Bible; it’s honest and open, just like any conversation between two close people.
We also believe that God both hears and responds to our prayers. As with any loving parent/child relationship, God pays attention, but we don’t always get what we ask for. It can be hard when that happens, but we trust that God loves us, no matter what the response is.
If you’ve never prayed before why not simply ‘try’. Try Praying is a really helpful website with a booklet that’s available online or you can order a hard copy for free.
A group of us meet each Thursday morning at 9am to pray together. You’d be welcome to join us, or you can send us your prayer request if you’d rather by using the button below.
